The Lovely New Hatherley Manor Spa

I’ve never been in more need for a spa day. Well actually, I often feel the need for one but don’t have the time. As a teacher and mum, life can get a bit hectic but today I had a rare day to myself and went along to the new Hatherley Manor Spa.

I would say I know my spas – I’ve visited them all over the world from luxury resorts in Sri Lanka to the famous Baden Baden in Germany. I’ve been to spas in the UK and most of the local ones here in the Cotswolds. I’m a bit like Goldilocks when it comes to spas: some are too hot, others are too cold. Some have comfy loungers and some don’t even have any! (Any ‘spa’ without loungers isn’t a ‘spa’ in my opinion!)

I was excited to review the long awaited new luxury spa at Hatherley Manor Hotel. The £3m spa includes a swimmable size pool with garden views, fantastic vitality pool (jacuzzi) a thermal suite which has a great steam room, sauna and tepidarium along with sensory showers including ‘tropical rain’ and ‘polar fog.’ It also has an ice area with steam heated loungers, a relaxation room and a fitness club.

The whole place is very spacious and clean (some spas aren’t!) It has enough loungers inside and also in the garden which is a lovely private place for sunbathing.

I went for the half-day package which is £95 from either 9:00am-1:00pm or 1:00pm-5:00pm and includes a 55 min ELEMIS treatment and two course lunch. The massage was very good and I loved the little extras like eye bags for when you’re lying on your back. For lunch I had a lovely Caesar salad and a chocolate brownie but you can choose from a number of options.

The spa offers a range of other offers and packages including ‘Mum to Be’ and overnight stay packages and is continuing to perfect what it can offer. Spa manager Will Wellon, said: ‘It’s been very exciting so far and we’ve been doing very well with memberships and have been getting good feedback. I’m looking forward to seeing where we’ll be in 6 months time.”

Overall, I would highly recommend Hatherley Manor Spa and would now place it as the top in its area. Well worth a visit!

This was an unsponsored review but I received a discount. There is currently a 15% discount on all the spa packages and you can book here.
