Have you been to the slightly weird but wonderful All Things Wild? It’s a ‘nature centre’ near Evesham which has an abundance of things to see and do for kids.
Not only does it have at least three great play areas, but also animal walk-throughs, a soft play barn, sand-pits, go-karts and, our favourite, the amazing dinosaur ‘Step Through Time’ where you can go on a walk among large and small ‘real’ dinosaurs and discover some fascinating facts. You can also take a land train ride through the dinosaur experience but we preferred walking and stopping for a picnic next to the giant T-Rex.
At All Things Wild you can also enjoy getting up close to a number of animals including meerkats, camels, zebras, birds, reptiles and monkeys. They also have ‘Encounter’ sessions when you can go inside animal enclosures and see how they become your best friend at feeding time. The animal team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about all the different creatures.
Other sessions you can book are being a ‘Keeper for the Day’ where you can spend time behind the scenes at All Things Wild and work with the animal team feeding, cleaning and caring for the wild residents.
I said ‘weird’ earlier as there’s just something around every corner – one minute your little one is sitting in a helicopter and the next they are staring into the face of a giant dinosaur, shark or Neanderthal. It’s a massive place and you could spend all day here. The soft play aptly named ‘Jungle Mayhem’ (in school holiday time!) was fun and contained with chairs and tables right next to it so you can watch your kids inside it. There is also a great cafe and loads of seating areas inside and out.
We have been here a number of times since Ed was quite small and we love it. It’s developed massively since we started going and new things are being added all the time. They also offer ‘Wild Birthday Parties’ and ‘Animal Adoptions.’ I would highly recommend a visit.
We were kindly given free entry today but I was still going to write this review without it.
