Are you often looking for things to do in Cheltenham and the Cotswolds with the family? Cheltenham Rocks is worth checking out as you can browse events and activities going on and get inspired.
As a family, we use the website to find out what’s on as it’s a one-stop-shop for events, attractions, groups, activities and days out. You’ll end up feeling spoilt for choice! It provides all the dates and contact details you need and you can use the filter option at the bottom of the page to search by age, cost and category.
You can search under today, tomorrow or at the weekend and find up-to-date information and look under categories such as Under-5s’ Holiday Clubs, Fetes, Fairs and Festivals. Other categories to browse include: Animals and Nature, Sport and Leisure, Shopping and Arts and Crafts. You can search by Event, Attractions, Groups and Activities and Days Out.
In the 35 events featured, we found everything from a ‘Crickley Hill Halloween Hoot’ to a ‘Devil Glow Run’ both in October. In the Groups and Activities section there are 85 listed currently ranging from ‘Jo Jingles Cheltenham’ to ‘Rugby Tots at Bournside School’ and ‘Yoga Buds.’ With each activity, there is key information and contact details.
We also browsed the Cheltenham Literature Festival: Family Friendly Readings section which was really handy as everything was in age categories. You can also search for kids’ party ideas (another blog post on that coming soon!) and you can suggest listings if you have your own event to promote locally.
The guides on Cheltenham Rocks include regular ‘what’s on’ round-ups of things to do in Cheltenham with families plus relevant news and offers. Currently, there’s a really useful October Half-Term Holiday Club Guide. You’ll also find articles from local parents who have written about their favourite things to do with the kids in Cheltenham, and some reviews of Cheltenham’s well-known (and less well-known!) activities.
Cheltenham Rocks offers support and activities for parents and youngsters from day one and you’ll find such a range of things to do. From learning new skills (such a languages and dance), to health visitor sessions and self-care for parents, or simply to punctuate a long day alone. The self-care section offers everything from a Dad’s Club to Buggy Fit details and postnatal groups.
